Strategic Expansion in Wisconsin

Outlook Group, a Neenah, Wisconsin-based provider of printed packaging and a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has successfully completed the acquisition and integration of the ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions manufacturing facility located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This strategic move expands Outlook Group's operational footprint to three facilities within the state and significantly broadens its technical capabilities in the highly specialized packaging sector.

The acquisition brings three critical new capabilities to Outlook Group's portfolio: specialty label production, increased flexible packaging capacity, and conductive film printing. The latter includes in-house ink formulation specifically designed for medical and electronic applications, a highly technical niche that requires specialized knowledge and precision.

Investing in Human Capital and Expertise

While the physical assets and customer relationships are vital components of the deal, the core driver of this acquisition was the specialized expertise of the Pewaukee workforce. Clay Davis, CEO of Outlook Group, emphasized that the transaction was fundamentally about acquiring a team with a rare skill set. The ability to master conductive film printing and complex ink formulations for the medical and electronics sectors is a capability that few converters possess.

The entire Pewaukee production team has been retained and integrated into Outlook Group. Demonstrating the seamless transition and commitment to quality, the facility has already completed its ISO 9001 recertification under the new ownership. This retention of talent ensures continuity for existing customers and provides Outlook Group with a robust foundation for future growth in specialized markets.

A Comprehensive Single-Source Provider

With the integration of the Pewaukee facility, Outlook Group solidifies its position as a comprehensive, single-source provider of printed packaging. The newly acquired capabilities complement the company's existing offerings, which include pressure-sensitive labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons, and integrated contract packaging services produced at its two Neenah facilities.

Financial terms of the transaction, which was supported by Aterian Investment Partners, were not disclosed. Alongside the acquisition, Outlook Group has also introduced a refreshed brand identity, signaling a new phase of growth while maintaining its core focus on the people and expertise that drive its manufacturing success.
