Karteck acquires CV Pack to add its second production plant and projects new investments
French firm Karteck acquires CV Pack following court approval, adding a second plant in Saint-Chamond and an HP Indigo 12000 B2 press.
The consolidation movement in the French folding carton sector adds a new chapter. The Saint-Étienne Commercial Court has awarded packaging manufacturer Karteck the assets of CV Pack, a company specializing in custom packaging and printed materials based in Saint-Chamond. The operation, formalized on October 22, grants the Valence-based company its second production center and strengthens its response capacity in short and customized runs.
CV Pack, which had entered receivership in July of this year, recorded a turnover of 2.13 million euros in 2025. Under the leadership of Jean-Michel Leone, president of Karteck, the integration includes the retention of six workers at the Saint-Chamond plant, adjusting the workforce after eliminating administrative duplications between the two sites.
From an industrial perspective, the acquisition brings a key technological asset: an HP Indigo 12000 B2 digital press. This addition allows Karteck to expand its high-quality digital printing offerings for the packaging market, a segment where the demand for customization and agility continues to rise.
Leone has already outlined a clear roadmap for modernizing the machinery park. The strategic plan includes the replacement of two older Bobst die-cutters inherited from CV Pack before the end of 2027. In parallel, management is analyzing the installation of a new automated die-cutting line at its main plant in Valence, underscoring the intention to balance converting capacity between both facilities.
This acquisition not only rescues production capacity in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region but also positions Karteck to absorb larger volumes by combining the digital agility of the HP Indigo with future investments in automated finishing. The company plans to make new hires as the operational integration of this second center is consolidated.
