Jesons pushes slot-die label converting to 600 meters per minute with new Bondex range
Jesons Industries will introduce its new Bondex adhesive portfolio at LOUPE India 2026, featuring slot-die formulations capable of reaching 600 meters per minute for narrow-web converting.
Breaking the speed barrier in narrow-web adhesive application
The bottleneck in high-volume label converting rarely lies in the printing press itself; it usually hides in the coating and finishing stages. Jesons Industries Limited is addressing this operational friction directly with the launch of its new Bondex specialty label adhesives portfolio, scheduled for LOUPE India 2026 (formerly Labelexpo India) in Greater Noida this coming October 29 to November 1.
The standout technical achievement in this new lineup is the performance of the Bondex ACR MB 2 and ACR MB2 AD formulations. Engineered specifically for slot-die lines, these adhesives are rated to run at speeds up to 600 meters per minute. In the narrow-web converting sector, maintaining a consistent, defect-free adhesive coat at 600 m/min requires exceptional rheological control to prevent the fluid dynamics from breaking down into uneven distribution or micro-foaming.
Targeted chemistry for specific converting demands
While the 600 m/min slot-die capability grabs the headline for raw throughput, Jesons has segmented the rest of the Bondex portfolio to address specific converting environments. For high-speed automated lines that do not utilize slot-die application, the company is introducing Bondex ACR HS and ACR HS-M, which lay down a smooth, spot-free coat at approximately 200 meters per minute.
The transition from paper to synthetic substrates continues to challenge converters, particularly regarding adhesive anchorage and edge bleed. To address filmic labels, Jesons developed Bondex 9700 and 9700 M. These high-solids formulations are designed to provide aggressive tack and shear strength without the splitting or oozing that often plagues synthetic label converting during die-cutting and matrix stripping.
- Bondex 9705: Formulated for clean-peel promotional labels requiring residue-free removal.
- Bondex 7509: Engineered for acid-resistant battery labels, a critical niche in the automotive and electronics sectors.
- Bondex 7508: Designed for aggressive adhesion on oily and non-porous industrial surfaces.
With a reported 35% market share in India's water-based pressure-sensitive adhesives for tapes and labels, Jesons is leveraging its domestic dominance to push technical boundaries. By bringing these high-speed and specialty formulations to LOUPE India 2026, the company is signaling to converters that domestic chemical engineering can compete directly with global adhesive giants in maximizing machine uptime and line speeds.
