ACR completes its twelfth acquisition with the purchase of molded fiber maker Ultra Green
AmerCareRoyal (ACR) has acquired Minnesota-based Ultra Green Packaging, marking its twelfth strategic add-on to expand its PrimeWare molded fiber portfolio.
The consolidation in the North American sustainable packaging sector continues its aggressive pace. AmerCareRoyal (ACR) has finalized the acquisition of Ultra Green Packaging, a Minnesota-based manufacturer specializing in molded fiber solutions. This transaction marks ACR’s twelfth strategic add-on since its partnership with Oridian Capital Partners, signaling a clear mandate to build a dominant platform in the foodservice and grocery supply chain.
Ultra Green brings a highly specific and lucrative product portfolio to ACR’s existing operations. Operating out of Mound, Minnesota, the company has carved out a strong niche in fiber-based packaging and rPET lids, catering directly to the evolving demands of institutional and retail clients.
Expanding the PrimeWare Portfolio
The immediate operational impact of this buyout is the integration of Ultra Green’s catalog into ACR’s PrimeWare line. The acquired assets include specialized molded fiber formats that are notoriously difficult to scale with consistent quality, such as:
- Take-and-bake pizza trays designed for high thermal resistance.
- Sushi trays that require precise moisture barriers.
- Compostable bakeware and other institutional foodservice formats.
By absorbing these lines, ACR bypasses the lengthy R&D and tooling phases required to develop these complex fiber geometries in-house. According to ACR Chief Executive Officer Scott Milberg, the move directly addresses the escalating demand for sustainable packaging across grocery channels, a sector where Ultra Green already holds a solid footprint.
Leadership and Market Consolidation
The molded fiber market in 2026 is characterized by a race for capacity and specialized capabilities. As retailers push to eliminate PFAS and transition away from traditional thermoformed plastics, suppliers with ready-to-deploy compostable alternatives are prime M&A targets.
Kristin Davidson, a key figure at Ultra Green, will remain actively involved in the business alongside the core management team, ensuring continuity in customer relationships and production expertise. For Oridian Capital Partners, this twelfth acquisition demonstrates a relentless roll-up strategy aimed at creating an undisputed heavyweight in the North American packaging distribution and manufacturing landscape.
