Hivest Capital Partners is an independent European and U.S. private equity firm with offices in Paris, Miami and London. It invests in buyouts and capital expansions of SMEs and mid-sized businesses, generally with annual revenues between US$50 million and US$500 million, combining investment with operational improvement and international growth strategies. On 23 October 2026, Hivest announced that it had completed the acquisition of Sustana, a North American manufacturer of specialty recycled fiber and sustainable packaging and paper, with integrated operations in the United States and Canada. Sustana operates through its Recovery, Fiber and Paper businesses. Hivest is the investor, not the manufacturer of these products. Hivest plans to support Sustana through operational excellence in safety, mill reliability, energy and raw material efficiency, and procurement, alongside targeted investment in mills and the recovery network and selective add-on acquisitions in North America. It appointed Kevin Richard as Sustana’s Chief Executive Officer. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to the acquisition announcement, Hivest manages more than US$1 billion. Its investment strategy spans all business sectors and includes family-business transfers, corporate carve-outs and development capital.
